Terrabiga

Mission

Empower West African communities and small organizations with digital tools that simplify collective coordination and group commerce, making it easier for people to organize, decide, and act together, while keeping every financial flow inside trusted mobile money rails.

Solution

TERRABIGA is a digital intermediation platform that connects participants around shared community, commercial, or solidarity initiatives. Our flagship product, MamCagnotte, enables groups to coordinate multi-party contributions and group purchases entirely through Orange Money — TERRABIGA itself never holds or routes funds. We combine this with a group-purchasing service (achats groupés) where we source from suppliers and resell directly to end users.

Success story with Orange

Orange Money is the structural backbone of our platform: by design, every transaction between participants flows exclusively through Orange Money APIs, not through TERRABIGA. To date, over 500 participants have used the platform to coordinate collective initiatives, with more than 90% of them transacting via Orange Money — a strong real-world validation that mobile money is the natural payment rail for community-driven digital activity in our region. This deliberate architectural choice positions Orange Money as the trusted settlement layer for an entirely new category of multi-party coordination across the UEMOA zone, while drastically reducing friction and the regulatory complexity that usually blocks platforms in this space.

Impact

Our platform creates impact on three levels: financial inclusion — we channel informal collective activity through regulated mobile money, bringing visibility and traceability to flows that usually happen in cash; community empowerment — small associations, family groups, and neighborhood collectives gain a professional digital tool without needing financial or technical expertise; regional scale — the platform is designed for UEMOA-wide deployment, making cross-border community coordination practical for the first time.
