Qik Objects is a collaborative platform that connects “losers” and “finders” of lost objects. Once the app has been installed, users who have lost an object are able to declare their loss in a few clicks. They only have to state what they lost, when they lost it and where it happened. Similarly, those who find objects can declare what they found by providing the same set of details.
The system then verifies all the info and the finder can return the item to its rightful owner, either in person or by mail. The owner of the object pays the shipping costs and a small service fee to Qik Objects. The start-up has partnered with transport companies to simplify the process of returning lost objects to its owners.
