Launch of season 1 of Orange Fab, the 1st start-up accelerator in Madagascar

On June 6, 2019, Orange Fab launched the first season of its start-up accelerator program, with the ambition of creating innovative companies that will bring progress to the country.

Orange Fab Madagascar joins the network of 15 Orange Fabs already present throughout the world. Three start-ups have been selected for the first season (opens a new tab), among about twenty applications received:

For six months, business leaders, experts, coaches and investors will supervise the leaders of these start-ups. Events, workshops and training will be offered to these young companies to help them develop their business.

The Orange Fab co-working space will allow them to work together, as close as possible to the Orange ecosystem, but also to exchange with their partners and customers in a professional, stimulating and friendly environment.

“Orange is convinced that in Madagascar, digital technology is a source of progress and can make people’s daily lives easier. The country is also full of talent and dynamic entrepreneurship. Our ambition is simple, we will mobilize the best of Orange to help the most beautiful innovations reach as many people as possible. »

Michel Degland
Chief Executive Officer Orange Madagascar

At the end of the acceleration programme, the aim is that the product/service offered should be the best in its category, that it should have a proven strategy and business model, all supported by a team with enhanced skills.

Pascal Latouche, director of Orange Fab France and coordinator of the Orange Fab network, details the specificities of these accelerators.
