Taking an electrocardiogram (ECG) is easy, but interpreting the reading remains complex and is usually reserved for cardiologists.
Cardiologs designed an interpretation tool based on new technologies (big data, data science, machine learning) and the analysis of hundreds of thousands of ECGs that had already been interpreted by cardiologists.
In France, Cardiologs works with SOS Médecins. Non-cardiologist doctors can thus detect anomalies during home visits (especially for more discreet heart diseases). It can also direct patients to a specialist immediately, so they can get care as quickly as possible.
A second version of the software focusses on rapid and reliable analysis of ECGs taken over long periods—usually a painstaking task.
Cardiologs software is awaiting approval in the USA, with pilot projects launched in Africa and India, in particular for telemedicine projects.
